George Byron Friendlee, 84, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19th, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Kenosha. Born in Chicago, IL, on June 20, 1924, he was the son of the late Clark and Alma (Gobal) Friendlee. A graduate of Steinmetz High School, he later studied business at Northwestern University in Chicago. He was a lieutenent in the United States Navy during World War II. He entered the service on August 6, 1943, and was honorabley discharged on February 9, 1946. He received the American Area Metal and World War II Victory Metal. Before entering the United States Navy he was an Accountant at J.G. Friendlee & Company in Chicago.
