Alan E. Young, Sr., 71, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, October 4th, 2008, at Kenosha Medical Center. Born on September 18, 1937, in Eau Claire County, WI, he was the son of the late Frank and Pearl (Eddington) Young. He was educated in the schools of Alma Center, WI, and moved to Kenosha in 1960 where he has resided since. He served in the United States Navy, entering the service in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1958. On May 14, 1960, he married Elaine Marvin in Merrillan, WI. He was employed with American Motors/Chrysler for 34 years, retiring in 1994. Alan was a former member of UAW Local 72 and the Ke-Nash-A Club. He was an avid race fan, especially NASCAR, and enjoyed traveling with his family. Survivors include his wife, Elaine of Kenosha; two sons, Alan E. (Jean) Young Jr. of Jefferson, WI, and Jay (Sue) Young of Kenosha; and four grandchildren, Cody, Joseph, Ryan, and Ashlee. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park with full military honors.
