Bosko Jokic, Sr., 89, of Kenosha, passed away suddenly Thursday, September 11th, 2008, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Serbia on January 4, 1919, he was the son of the late Jovo and Andjelija Jokic. He lived in Germany and England before coming to Kenosha in 1960, and has lived here for the past 48 years. He was married to Zagorka Stevanovic. He was employed for 20 years as a supervisor for G. Leblanc Musical Instrument Company. A member of New Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Church, he fought in WWII as a Resistance Fighter, the "Cetnik", for Serbia and the Allies against Nazi Germany, which is how he came to America for his freedom. Bosko enjoyed gardening and was an excellent handy-man. Surviving are his wife, Zagorka of Kenosha; a son, Bosko (Dragana) Jokic, Jr. of Pleasant Prairie; two daughters, Renata (Scott) Bisciglia of Kenosha and Andjelija (Gary) Coleman of Kenosha; a brother, Dusan Jokic of Kenosha; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Milan Jokic. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 13th, at New Gracanica Serbian Orthodox Church, 35240 N. Grant Street, Third Lake, IL 60046, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at the New Gracanica Church Cemetery.
