Emma E. (Gross) Hironimus, 88, of Kenosha passed away Sunday, September 7th, 2008, at Grande Prairie Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Turtle Lake, WI, on May 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Emelia (Grams) Gross. She married Donald Hironimus in January 1939 in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death in 1989. As a young mother she was a stay at home working mother. She then went to Evanston Business School and worked for the VA Hospital in North Chicago, IL, later becoming a medical secretary retiring in 1982. She and her husband sold their home on Eastview Dr. in Waukegan and bought the beloved "Farm", 30 acres on Stateline Road. The house was always filled with laughter and love, gardening and her loving family. Emma was the beloved mother and grandmother of: Carole (Tom) Bufton, Don (Kathy) Hironimus; grandchildren, Gretchen Christman, Cheryl Walter, David (Sue) Hironimus, Brenda (Dan) Dietman, Amy Ricard and Carrie Ricard; seven great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, six brothers and a special half-sister. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 11th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park.
