Danny visited us many times to fish both summer and winter. He enjoyed my fish breakfasts so much he got me a great big frying pan. He told me he wanted to make sure I could make lots of fish for all the guys. One winter after the Knockers ice fishing tournament, the boys all put in their tip-ups in front of the house because they hadn't caught any fish all day and were determined to get at least one walleye. They all jumped in the hot tub after dinner and sure enough they got a flag. Dan and Tom jumped out of the tub and ran barefoot, in their trunks out to the farthest tip-up and landed a nice 20 inch walleye. It was so comical because their bodies were steaming as they ran across the ice. They ran back in, holding this fish so proudly, posed for pictures and jumped back into the hot tub to warm up. We will miss you Brokeback, more than you could have ever imagined.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all right now. I'm sad to hear what happened to him. Dan was a friend from way back when we all played softball and he was alway with my cousins Darrell, Derick, and Leo Gillis. Unfortunately the last time I got to speak to him is at Darrell's funeral but he was a great guy and will greatly be missed by all.

You are in our thoughts and prayers in this terrible loss. Dan was such a special man and we will think of him always. His laugh & smile is something we will never forget. We loved having him at our house with Chris through high school. When he was around there was never a "dull moment". Here is a poem I came across:"When special people touch our lives, then suddenly we see how beautiful and wonderful our world can really be. They bless us with their love and joy through everything they give. When special people touch our lives, they teach us how to live."Dan is certainly one of these special people and will be missed so much. Our hearts go out to all family & friends who will miss him more than words can say.Terry & Sandy

Good bye my friend. I will never forget the times we shared together. I hope everyone takes a little bit of Daniel's energy and applies it to some aspect of their lives. Not many people regularly could pick me up over their head, but now you will pick me up every time I think of you. I'm already laughing with the memory of hula skirts and headbands at Buffett, Hussey's Fish Fry's, and the childlike excitement over the Ted Nugent edition bow and arrow. To hear that growly 'whats up bro' is something I will await to hear again. May the winds of our generation carry you to all the places you ever wanted to go for your time here has been served and you belong to eternity now.

My heart goes out to you at this sad time. It is such a tragedy to lose a young loved one, who obviously had accomplished much in his short life. Words are so inadequate at a time like this, but I want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. (Audrey, Matthew sends his condolences, also; he said he will send his own, but he tends to procrastinate.} Sincerely, Lorene Wynn

I used to know Dan better in High School and College, but I tell you what this was one man that had one of the biggest hearts and respect for others. Every time I seen him out somewhere he would go out of his way to ask about my friends and family and if I was doing o.k. in generally. I'm so sad that I will not be able to ever hang out with this guy in the future at least on this earth. Dan my thoughts and prayers are with you, your friends, and especially your family. I hope that God gives them the strength to recover soon. You will be Missed dearly by all the people you came in contact with in your life.

Danny was the kind of guy that if you didn't see him for a while, he would always be the same Danny when you saw him again...smiling, joking, and telling stories! But what I know most of all about Danny was that he had a huge heart, and he was always looking out for the people he cared about and loved. Danny, you touched my life in a special way, and you are a true angel. I will never forget you, my friend. My heart goes out to Danny's entire family...he will always be with you. Cherish the memories you have, they are sacred and could never be replaced.

Dear Sarah and Pat: I am so sorry to hear about Danny. I think about you guys alot and have you in my prayers. I hope you are okay and I wish I could give you a hug. I don't know how to get in touch with you, but I'd really like to hear from you again. I was thinking how the last time I talked to Danny he was teasing me about how I could've married him if I wouldn't have had kids(ha ha). What a guy! I love you always forever!! Hope you get a hold of me sometime and let me know you're all okay. (320)202-7786 Sincerely your old friend, Joy Smith

Dan Eddy was a guy who "kept it real" and nowadays that is alot to ask of a man. He definitely will be missed by many. I know I'm going to miss seeing him out and about because he was always a guy you could sit next to and just talk and laugh with. God Bless you Danny and I know we'll do it again!

I knew Danny when we were very young, his grandparents lived next door to me. I must have been 6-7 years old when I first met him and still to this day when I hear his name I smile thinking of the stuff he would come up with as a kid. As kids he always made everyone laugh,he would say " I bet you can't make your elbows touch behind your back", and me being probably 9-10 years old at the time would try and he would just start laughing.I seen him occasionally as we got older and every time I did I would be laughing at something he was doing or saying. He will be missed dearly~

I'm very honored to have had Danny as a friend. He is a great person and will be thought of often. Our thought and prayers are with you Ms Eddy and Sarah.God BlessWHEN GOD CALLS THE YOUNG TO DWELL WITH HIM ABOVE,WE MORTALS ALWAYS QUESTION THE WISDOM OF HIS LOVE.FOR NO HEARTACHE COMPARES WITH THE DEATH OF A "CHILD", WHO DOES SO MUCH TO MAKE THIS WORLD SO WONDERFUL AND MILD.PERHAPS GOD TIRES, ALWAYS CALLING THE AGED TO HIS FOLD.AND SO HE PICKS A ROSEBUD BEFORE IT CAN GROW OLD.GOD KNOWS HOW MUCH WE NEED THEM, AND SO HE TAKES BUT FEW, TO MAKE THE LAND OF HEAVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL TO VIEW.BELIEVING THIS IS DIFFICULT, STILL SOMEHOW WE MUST TRY. THE SADDEST WORD THAT MANKIND KNOWS WILL ALWAYS BE "GOODBYE".AND SO WHEN THE YOUNG DEPART, WE WHO ARE LEFT BEHIND, MUST REALIZE HOW MUCH GOD LOVES THEM..................................FOR ANGELS ARE HARD TO FIND.......GOD BLESSGuy Weinfurter and Family
