Alfred E. Sturzenegger

Alfred E. Sturzenegger, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly Sunday August 3rd, 2008, at Kenosha Memorial Hospital 56 years after his birth there. Born August 2, 1952, in Kenosha, Alfred was the son of the late Alfred E. and Martha A. (Spitzer) Sturzenegger. He was educated in local schools and was a life long resident of Kenosha. He grew up on a country road in Somers near his cousins Max and Dave Sturzenegger. Alfred held many occupations from a mechanic to a driver. He enjoyed the company of family and friends and the beauty of nature. Surviving are his sister, Mary (Jon) Reddin of Milwaukee; nieces, Sharon (Jediah) White and Vicky (Joseph) Shokatz; nephew, Jacob (Sarah) Reddin; grandnephew, Samuel Gregory Reddin; aunt, Gertrude Wamboldt; and many cousins in Wisconsin, Illinois, Washington, Oregon and Michigan. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday, August 10th, at 12:00 noon at Oakwood Cemetery, Somers, WI, at the corner of Hwy 31 and Hwy E (12th Street) just south of UW Parkside Woods. Fred and I were friends throughout grade school and high school. We lost track of each other; however, I have always carried fond memories of our time growing up together - especially of our excursion to Canada shortly after graduation. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. My sincere condolences.
