Anthony CAMPOLO
Anthony Campolo, 90, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, July 26th, 2008, at Kenosha Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born October 18, 1917, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Demetrios and Jennie (Tricomi) Campolo. He moved to Kenosha in 1928 and was educated in local schools. In April of 1941, he married Ida Serpe at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She preceded him in death in 1990. Anthony was a stock handler with American Motors Corp. for 33 years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and the UAW Local 72 Retirees. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, working on old cars and picking mushrooms. Survivors include three sons, James, Michael (Paula) and John, all of Kenosha; a daughter, Rosalie (Craig) Puder of Kenosha; two sisters, Antoinette "Dolly" Davison and Yolanda (Richard) Leys, both of Kenosha; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers, James, Lawrence, Frederick, Thomas, John and Joseph; and four sisters, Carmella Murphy, Hilda Campolo, Florence Jackman and Martha Schwanke. A special thanks to Kenosha Hospital Nursing Staff. Also a very special thank you to Dr. & Mrs. Buencamino and their staff for taking very good care of our father. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 29th, from the Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. George Cemetery.
