Fausto Serpe, 76, of Kenosha, passed away Wednesday, July 9th, 2008, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born on August 12, 1931, in Marano Marchesato, Prov. of Cosenza, Italy, he was the son of the late Michele and Rosalia (Caputo) Serpe. He came to Kenosha at the age of 16 to make his home. On May 29, 1965, he married Margie Massa in Kenosha. For over 38 years he had been employed as a repairman for American Motors/ Chrysler Corp., retiring December 23, 1988. Fausto had been a member of United Auto Workers Local #72 and he enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas. Surviving are his wife, Margie of Kenosha; a son, Mike (Amy) Serpe of Durand, IL; a granddaughter, Amber Rose Serpe; a brother-in-law, Tony Campolo of Kenosha; a sister-in-law, Rosalia Serpe of Kenosha; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Frank Serpe; and two sisters, Ida Campolo and Mary Misurelli. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 12th, at Proko Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Saturday at Proko Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Dad, I miss you more and more each day. I never did get to tell you how much you meant to me. I wish you were still around. Mom misses you terribly as well. She has still not found peace with your passing and I hope that you can find a way to give her the peace that she needs. I'm determined to get my bachelors degree in business management and make my business a success. As much as you didn't want me to start a business and work for someone, starting this business is harder than you can ever imagine. I know it will do well and I wish you were there to see how much I know I will succeed at it. I miss you dad and love you.......I promise I will write to you more often. Oh, and Amy and Amber are doing well.....they both miss you very much too!

Faust and I were sweethearts long ago, and I was so sorry to hear of his passing. I always thought a lot of him, and was very glad to read that he had married and had a child. My heart goes out to his beloved family. I can still see him in his red Ford Fairlane!
