Joseph F. Volk, 40, of Kenosha, died Sunday, June 22nd, 2008, in a motorcycle accident. Born in Kenosha on June 6, 1968, he was the son of the late James C. and Carol J. (Wells) Volk. He attended St. Mary Catholic Grade School and was a 1987 graduate of Reuther Alternative High School. He was presently employed with QPS Companies, Inc. Joseph attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, two brothers and a sister, Michael (Mary) Volk of Des Plaines, IL, Sandra (John) Rende of Kenosha, and Jeffery (Lisa) Volk of Kenosha; a niece, Tina Rende; two nephews Michael Rende and Tony Volk; as well as an extended family too abundant to mention. Joe's life was filled with numerous challenges and struggles, but his heart over flowed with love for Jesus. He cherished his faith and love of God and his family as sources of guidance and strength. His hearts desire was simple... to honor God in his work and play. This inspired him in this life until the end, and will continue in the next, which will never come to an end. In his families company he shared love and laughter, goodbye for now, until happily ever after. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Proko Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to United Prison Ministries International, P.O. We are saddened to hear of Joe's passage. Although we had not seen Joe in some time, we do think of him and the rest of the family often. The house across the street will always be "Volk's house" and we will always have good memories of hanging out with Joe and Jeff in the basement, out in the garage and the rest of our childhood as friends and neighbors. It's so good to see that Joe had found his faith and path in life and will continue his journey at the gates of heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
