Elizabeth Ann Martin, 91, of Racine, passed away with her daughters by her side on Thursday, June 26th, 2008. Born on September 2, 1916, in Kewaunee, IL, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Sophia Voloi. She came to Kenosha as a young child, receiving her education in local schools. On July 18, 1943, she married Alex Martin in Hollywood, CA. He passed away on February 27, 2002. For 18 years she was Deputy Clerk for Circuit Court in Racine County, retiring in 1978. Betty was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church and the Ladies Society of the church and also enjoyed traveling and gardening. Surviving are her two daughters, Sharon (David) Klaus of Racine, WI, and Susan (Dale) Tuttle of Wauwatosa, WI; four grandchildren, Gregory (Cyndy) Klaus, Amy (Sam) Veit, Kristin (Charlie) Strunk and Douglas Tuttle; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Nicholas; and three sisters, Alice Ledanski, Mary Demske and Stephanie Pinzger. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28th, at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
