Guillermo L. Hernandez, 74, of Kenosha, passed away Wednesday, May 28th, 2008, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Cotulla, TX, on January 23, 1934, he was the son of the late Jesus and Juanita (Lira) Hernandez. He came to Kenosha in 1959 to make his home. On October 15, 1952, he married to Maria E. Del-Toro. She passed away July 16, 1995. He had been a greens keeper at Orchard Hills County Club in Waukegan, IL, before his retirement. Surviving are four sons, Oscar (Dolores), Guillermo Jr. (Chris), Fernando, and Jesus (Amanda); five daughters, Herlinda (Pedro) Gonzales, Juanita Hernandez, Margarita (Jose E.) Garcia, Silvia (Jose O.) Garcia, and Diane L. Montes de Oca; a brother, Juan; four sisters, Jesusa Ocanas, Adela Flores, Sulema Rios, and Lilly Hernandez; his companion, Julia Ruiz, and her children, Tony (Caroline), Daniel (Teri), Pedro (Gloria), Alfred (Shelly) Miranda, and Mary (Jose) Aguilera; 35 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 2nd, at Proko Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at St. George Cemetery.
