Florence PETERS

1922 ∼ 2008

Florence Rose Peters, 85, of Kenosha, passed away Sunday, May 18th, 2008, at Grande Prairie Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Kenosha on August 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Marie (Felice) DeCesaro. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. In October of 1953, she married Harold (Pete) Peters, he preceded her in death. She had been employed by G. LeBlanc Corp. until her retirement in 1990. She then helped care for her young grandchildren. Florence was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church. Surviving are her three children, Joyce (Bob) Saftig, John (Juliann Janovicz) Peters, and Jill (Todd) Bolyard; a brother, Roy (Laurie) DeCesaro of Kenosha; and her four grandchildren, Bob Saftig, Jr., Brian (Nikki) Saftig, Nicki Bolyard and Sabrina Bolyard. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Susie Greco and Emma Gentile; and a brother, Adolph DeCesaro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 23rd, at St. Mark's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment to be private at Green Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held at St. Mark's Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Florence's name are made to Hospice Alliance.
