Carlee Anne Bennett, 5 years old, passed away Sunday, May 18th, 2008, at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She was born in Kenosha to Mark and Eileen (Venci) Bennett on August 4, 2002. Carlee was an active Kindergarten student at Jane Vernon Elementary School. She received care at Tender Touch Therapy and enjoyed horseback riding at Midwest Therapeutic. She took great pleasure rocking in the sunshine, listening to music and playing with musical toys. Carlee was really a cake lover; she enjoyed any flavor. She is survived by her loving family, her father and mother, Mark and Eileen of Pleasant Prairie; a sister, Caitlynn; a brother, Geoffrey; maternal grandparents, George F. Sr. and Darlene Venci of Kenosha; and paternal grandparents, Stephen Bennett of Trinity, FL, and Nicole Ortega of Tampa, FL. Carlee was dearly loved by her aunts, uncles and also her cousins, Evan, Cory, Charlie, George III, Andrew, Jacob, Ryan, Eleanor and Jacob. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22nd, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Carlee and I would take walks outside and we would stop be the trees along the sidewalk and she would enjoy running her hands through the leaves because sometimes they tickled and she would giggle and we would move on to the next one and the next one.
