Adelbert E. Greiner, 85, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Saturday, May 17th, 2008, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Born on July 4, 1922, in Poniatowski, WI, he was the son of the late Armond and Minnie (Berres) Greiner. He attended schools in Poniatowski, WI, and also attended Trade School in Chicago. He moved to Kenosha in 1952 and has resided here since. On May 3, 1952, he married Elmira Socha in Poniatowski, WI. Adelbert worked for 35 years as an auto mechanic for various garages, and most recently retired from Ralph Nudi AMC in 1985. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and enjoyed playing the accordion. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elmira Greiner of Pleasant Prairie; a daughter, Patricia Nelson of Pleasant Prairie; two sons, David (Cindy) Greiner of Rockford, IL, and Mark (Debbie) Greiner of Kenosha; a brother, Glen Greiner of Athens, WI; seven grandchildren, Alison (Mike) Molinaro, Julie Nelson, Brian (Stacy) Nelson, Mark Greiner, Jonathan Greiner, Elizabeth Greiner, Karen (Dan) Kersey; and four great-grandchildren, Michael Molinaro, Jacob Molinaro, Kailey Kersey, and Gavin Nelson. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Michael; granddaughter, Stephanie; and a brother, Ralph Greiner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 21st, from St. Anne's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment to be private at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
