Robert E. WASURICK
Robert E. Wasurick, 79, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, May 17th, 2008, at St. Catherine's Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie. Born on April 29, 1929, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late William and Minnie (Tredup) Wasurick. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he received his education in local schools. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from January 10, 1951 until his honorable discharge on October 10, 1952. He received the Purple Heart, Korean Service Medal with One Bronze Star, UN Service Medal, and the Combat Infantry Badge. On September 11, 1954, he married Elaine M. Stevens at St. Therese Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on March 23, 1989. He was employed at Simmons Co., later as a Set-Up Man at AMC/Chrysler from 1959 until 1989, and he also was employed at Sears for over 20 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the UAW Local 72 Retirees. He enjoyed fishing and sports, especially the Packers, Brewers, and Bucks, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his five children, Deborah (Ronald) Jumper of Pleasant Prairie, Tami Jaramillo of Kenosha, Thomas (Michelle) Wasurick of Freedom, WI, Robin (Rhonda) Wasurick of Pleasant Prairie, and Karen (Andrew) Eclarinal of Kenosha; eleven grandchildren, Victor and Selena Jaramillo, Thomas (Kenlee), Kristina, Crystal, Kyle and Katie Wasurick, Karissa, Briann, Philip and Mark (Jenifer) Eclarinal; three great-grandchildren, Braxton, MeKenzey Wasurick, Miko Eclarinal; and two sisters, Joyce Harrington of Ft. Atkinson, WI, Bette (Richard) Diel of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Dale, as an infant; three brothers, William, Gene, Donald Wasurick; and a sister, Mary Lou Neff. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 21st, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorials to the American Cancer Society or to the Susan B.
