Clifford D. Turner, 47, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, passed away Tuesday, April 8th, 2008, at his residence. Born on September 16, 1960, in Biloxi, MS, he was the son of the late Howard C. and Joyce E. (Hanson) Turner. He had spent his life as a resident of Northeastern Illinois and Southwestern Wisconsin. On December 27, 1986, he married Laurie Dawn McKinney at Linn Presbyterian Church in Lake Geneva. He had been employed at RPS Glenview, IL, and Invisible Fencing in Highland Park, IL. In high school Cliff was part of the Future Farmers of America. He always wanted to be a farmer. He was a Cub Scout Leader and coach for Little League Basketball. Surviving are his wife, Laurie of Winthrop Harbor, IL; a son, Sean Christian Turner of Winthrop Harbor, IL; mother-in-law, Linda McKinney of Paddock Lake; a sister, Kathleen S. (James) Houck of Burlington, WI; two nieces, Heather (Nathan) Ansell of Mukwonago and Monica (Jack) Showers of Grand Island, FL; brother-in-law, Mark D. (Heide) McKinney, Sr. of Bristol; nephew, Mark D. McKinney, Jr.; a niece, Danielle McKinney; great nephews, Christian Daniel and David Alexander; and a great niece, Madilyn Emma. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford and Lelah Hanson, and Ford and Agnes Turner. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 12th, at St. Mary's Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Friday at Proko Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday at St. Mary's Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
