Martin C. Jakubowski, Sr., 53, of Kenosha, passed away Tuesday, April 1st, 2008, in Milwaukee. Born in Kenosha on November 9, 1954, he was the son of LeRoy S. and Jean (Bienemann) Jakubowski. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, Martin was educated in local schools. For the last 35 years he had been employed as a Fork Lift Driver for Chrysler Mopar in Milwaukee. A Member of the Moose Lodge, UAW Local 75 and The N.R.A., Martin enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, shooting darts and the Green Bay Packers. Surviving are his mother, Jean Jakubowski of Kenosha; five sons, Steven (Sherri) LaFever of Racine, John James LaFever of Kenosha, Martin Charles Jakubowski, Jr. of Kenosha, Nicholas (Nicole) Jakubowski, Sr. of Kenosha, Daniel Robert Jakubowski of Kenosha; two daughters, Kristina LaFever of Kenosha and Katie LaFever of Kenosha; a brother, Michael (Kathy) Jakubowski of Kenosha; nine grandchildren, Tyler, Haley, Chance, Samantha, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Jr., Mark, Makayla and Makenzee; a niece, Linda (Dustin) Radliff; a nephew, Daniel (Jennifer) McBride; and five great nieces and nephews, Sergio, Samaria, Seth, Siannah, and Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Mark J. Jakubowski. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. James Cemetery.
