Francis Lee Pollock, 78, of Kenosha, passed away Friday, February 1st, 2008, peacefully at his residence surrounded by the loving care of all of his children. Born in Graves County, KY, on September 20, 1929, he was the son of the late William Bryan and Rubel Bertha (Burgess) Pollock. On September 20, 1952, he married Sigridur Fridjonsdottir in Iceland. He enjoyed traveling back and forth from Kenosha to Iceland. He was employed at Glen View Naval Air Station for 33 years as an Electronics’ Technician. He was in the United States Air Force, entering the service on August 11, 1950, during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged on August 12, 1954. Francis received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Francis was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Sigridur; four children, Michael Dean Pollock and Daniel A. (Sigridur Sigurdardottir) Pollock, both of Iceland, Natalie S. (Pedro) Cota of Las Vegas, NV, and Patricia M. Pollock of Kenosha; two sisters, Generose Sanders and Dorothy Burgess, both of Kentucky; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
