Doris Louise Buening, 81, of Kenosha, passed away Wednesday, January 9th, 2008, at Grande Prairie Nursing Home. Born in Sacramento, CA, on July 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Cameron) Saxon. Doris was a graduate of Grant Union High School in Sacramento, CA, and moved to Kenosha in 1946 to make her home. On July 14, 1945, she married Donald H. Oechler in Sacramento, CA; he preceded her in death. She then was united in marriage to Howard A. Buening on June 15, 1968, in Kenosha. Surviving are her husband, Howard; a step-son, Thomas A. Buening of Kenosha; a step-grandchild; a sister, Muriel Kileen of Corvallis, OR; and a brother, Robert A. Saxon of Sacramento, CA. She was preceded in death by twin sisters, Lois and Esther in 1929; a sister, Betty Dallas in 2001; and a brother, Donald Saxon in 2003. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11th, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Entombment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
