Emma Agazzi, 97, of Kenosha, passed away surrounded by her loving family at Hospitality Manor on Tuesday, January 8th, 2008. Born on September 20, 1910, in Hillsboro, IL, she was the daughter of the late Giacomo and Teresa (Bellaver) Scopel. She was educated in the schools of Hillsboro, coming to Kenosha at the age of 18 to make her home. She was married to Gene Agazzi; he preceded her in death on November 5, 1979. She was employed by Kuyawa Market for four years and later at Smith's Grocery Store for 25 years, and last she worked at Lincoln Food Store until her retirement at the age of 79. Emma was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers of St. James, St. James Parish Council for 4 years, and Frank School P.T.A. for 1 year. She was the Director of Bingo at Saxony Manor for over 10 years, Ladies of the Moose Auxiliary, Alpine Club and a former member of St. Mary's Friendly Center. She also was a volunteer for St. Catherine's Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, Ben (Marlene) Of Kenosha and Robert (Arlene) of Sheboygan; two daughters, Jean (Pat) Looby of Brookfield, WI, and Donna (Jim) Keckeisen of Kenosha; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael; a brother, Arthur; and two sisters, Gilda Rosko and Mary Kohloff. Emma's family would like to extend a special thank you to nurse Colette and nursing assistants, Karen, Jeanetta, Delfina and Rose for their compassionate care. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16th, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 am. Mass to be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at St. James Cemetery.
