Nellie S. HERRMANN
Nellie S. Herrmann, 88, of Kenosha, passed away Tuesday, January 8th, 2008, at Hospitality Manor Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Kenosha on December 6, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Dickatole) Placente. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she attended local schools, a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. On April 11, 1942, she married Mathias B. Herrmann at St. George Catholic Church. He passed away October 18, 2002. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church and St. Mark's Christian Women's Club. Nellie was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by all. Surviving are three sons, Phillip Herrmann of Kenosha, Thomas (Gail) Herrmann of Vernon Hills, IL, and David (Mary Jo) Herrmann of West Bend, WI; a daughter, Roberta (Karl) Peura of Kenosha; a sister, Margaret Serzant of Kenosha; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Andy Placente, and a sister, Mary Kausalik. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 10th, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church at 6:30 pm. Visitation will be held on Thursday at St. Mark’s Church from 4:30 pm until the time of the Mass.
