I first met Ray on ham radio in 1991, we had talked several times throught the years. We often teased one another about the bears and packers. In the past copuple of years I would talk to Ray on the radio as he was taking his Mom to the grocery store, as I had My mom with me. We passed just missing one another on the highway, and laughed about. We talked on the repeater in the morning (the corn flake net we called it). I eventually had my hours changed at work and have missed talking to Ray. My Mom and I are greatly sadened for the families loss. So for You Ray, I say "GO PACKERS". (WB9WNZ)

Ray was one of the most helpful ham radio operators in our area. He encouraged many to "play" with new technologies. Ray kept the Kenosha Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) active. I enjoyed his magic he performed years ago at the Kenosha ham radio Sunday breakfasts. Ray helped keep the ham radio hidden transmitter hunts fun. Best wishes to his family and 73 to Ray.

We're sorry to hear of Ray's passing. Like many others we heard from another OMC friend who is out of state. Far to young of a man to be gone already. Our prayers are with his family.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Ray through the Ham Radio Explorer post in Kenosha, WI. I have fond memories of him along with the rest of the group getting together and exchanging ideas & technical info. Although I have not seen him in the last couple of years, I always enjoyed listening to him on all of the local repeaters. He will be missed, my thoughts and sympathies are with the family.-John

Ray you have been a Great Friend and not a afraid to help anyone, when it can to Ham Radio that was something that you wanted to see carried on to the next generation. I know that my kids knew when it was time for the Wednesday night nets that you looked forward to hearing them. Plus your care for Emergency Management and family. I know that when you and I talked on the 31st. of December you told me that what you looked forward to was being able to see your daughters wedding on the 21st. of December, being with your family Christmas, then being able to share the New Year with your wife and new family. (Son in Law), I know that when I asked you if you had a relationship with Jesus, your response was very calm and the answer was yes. You were at peace and thankful for every extra day that you were given with your wife and family. I will miss you Ray and so will my kids. Rest in Peace my friend.Scott Lipsey and Family

You are certainly in my prayers and those of all of us at Hospice Alliance. Ray was and is a great man. His spirit lives on. So do his positive impacts in our world. One of the clearest places his legacy continues is in his family. You are truly special and wonderful people.
