Mafalda O. "Muffy" Nudi, 94, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, November 11th, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Cosenza, Italy, on May 28, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Giovanina (Mantuano) Via. She came to Kenosha at the age of 15 and has resided here since. On January 25, 1930, she married Domenick Nudi. He passed away April 22, 1999. She was a former member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, loved to bowl and shop. Entertaining and cooking for friends and family were a great pleasure for "Muffy". She is survived by three sons, Ralph (Sylvia) Nudi of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Robert Nudi of Kenosha, and Dennis (Mary) Nudi of Chandler, AZ; a daughter, JoAnne (Herb Christman) Nudi of Kenosha; a step-daughter, Eva (Ralph) Romano of Italy; a sister, Lolly McBride of Lancaster, CA; thirteen grandchildren, Brent, Shelly, Ann, Sherrie, Cindy, Perry, Nicole, Anna, Bobby, Julie, Tina, Jamie and Connie; and 38 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary; a grandson, Domenick "Micky"; a great-granddaughter, Mafalda "Muffy" Tracy; and two brothers, Oggo and Frank Via. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 15th, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 am. Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
