Waclawa "Betty" Kawka, 76, of Kenosha, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, October 17th, 2007. Born in Poland on July 20, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Boleslaw and Aniela (Mazur) Dziuba. Betty moved to Kenosha from Milwaukee in 1999. In 1962, she married the late Jozef Kawka in Milwaukee. For 40 years, she worked at the former Allen-Bradley Co., in Milwaukee, retiring in 1989. Betty was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Kenosha. She was an avid gardener. Betty loved taking care of her house "up north" and complaining about what else needed to be done.....but loved every minute of it! All of her free time was spent enjoying her "two little pupkas" who kept her young at heart. She also enjoyed playing hide-and-seek with Taz. Betty had a beautiful soul that touched everyone she came in contact with. Surviving is her son, Sebastian Kawka of Kenosha; two grandsons, Zachary and Tyler; a sister, Mary (Robert) Adamski of Campbellsport; a brother, Zenon (Christine) Dziuba of Milwaukee; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Anita Stefani-Kawka; two sisters, Emily (Tom) Brzyski and Wanda (Ted) Kostro; and a niece, Diana Adamski. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 22nd, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:30 am. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Sunday at the Proko Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
