Dorothy E. Johnson, 86, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, October 17th, 2007. Born in Kenosha on December 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Max R. and Elsie E. (Anderson) Meyer. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools. On June 27, 1953, she married Reuben G. Johnson in Kenosha. He passed away in June of 1973. For 20 years she was the Director of the Gift Shop at St. Catherine's Hospital, retiring in 1985. A member of St. Mary's Lutheran Church, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #45 and #92, her main interest in life was her family; she helped raise her grandchildren. Surviving are a daughter, Eileen M. Hanson of Kenosha; a step-son, Wally H. (Shirley) Johnson of North Carolina; two granddaughters, Lisa M. Hanson and Amy B. (Rich) Wierzbicki, both of Kenosha; six step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Meyer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Eastern Star Services will be conducted at 10:45 am on Saturday.
