Floyd E. Brown, Sr., 82, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, October 5th, 2007, at St. Catherine's Medical Center Campus in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Born on March 1, 1925, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Lester and Vida (Pecor) Brown, Sr. He received his education in local schools. On February 12, 1949, he married Elsie Gomaz in Waukegan, IL. Floyd was employed at AMC Motors for 28 ½ years on the assembly line, and also at Simmons Co. for 14 years. He retired on August 31, 1986. Floyd was a lifetime member of St. Therese Parish, past usher of St. Therese Parish, and a member of UAW Local 72. He loved to garden and farm, especially with his John Deere Tractor. He was a Packer fan, loved polka music, fishing, and hunting with his three sons. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elsie of Kenosha; three sons, Floyd E. (Jean Ann) Brown, Jr. of Kenosha, Bruce (Roxanne) Brown of Kenosha, and Donald (Karen) Brown of Wauseon, OH; two daughters, Norma (Gary) Caputo of Paddock Lake and Marie Brown of Salem, WI; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his four brothers, Lester, Jr., LeRoy, Francis, and Donald; and four sisters, Marcella Swanson, Doris Brown, Corinne Wasurick, and Marion Brown. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday morning at Proko Funeral Home from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
