Fay M. Anderson, 88, of Kenosha passed away on Sunday, September 16th, 2007, at Sheridan Medical Complex. Born in Salem, OH, on September 4, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James I. and Emma R. (Hiltdbrand) Smith. She was educated in the schools of Salem, OH, before coming to Kenosha to make her home. On October 5, 1966, she married Gerald F. Anderson. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1990. In the late 1950's and 1960's, Fay owned and operated a delicatessen at 93rd Street and 22nd Avenue. She later worked as a nurse’s aide at Kenosha Memorial Hospital. Fay is survived by two step-daughters, Patricia Kilpatrick of West Palm Beach, FL, and Beverly Foxwell of Vero Beach, FL; three nephews, James Smith of Kenosha, Tim Smith of Fidcastle, VA, and John Smith of Kenosha; and two nieces, Karen Foster and Judy Harveycutter, both of Salem, VA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Smith, and three sisters, Elva Mae Parr, Dorothy and Fern Smith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 20th, at Proko Funeral Home at 6:30 pm. Interment will be at Washington Island Cemetery on Washington Island, WI. Visitation will be held on Thursday at Proko Funeral Home from 5:30 pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Odyssey Healthcare, 10150 W.
