1916 ∼ 2007

Edith A. Rieschl, 91, long-time Kenosha resident died Tuesday, July 17th, 2007, in Delafield, WI following a short illness. Edith was born in Milwaukee on February 8, 1916, the daughter of John and Frances Bscherer. She moved to Kenosha as a teenager with her parents and brother, Raymond. Edith married Harold W. Rieschl a Kenosha native. He preceded her in death. Edith was a consummate homemaker who worked tirelessly to provide a wonderful home life for her family. She was also a dedicated member of St. James Church, hospital volunteer and member of the Catholic Woman's Club. She always found time, too, to enjoy the company of friends over a bridge or golf game. Edith is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Brian) Mitchell; grandson, Brian J. (Lisa) Mitchell; great-grandsons Jack and Keegan; nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Jean Rieschl; and other family and friends. Edith's strength of character, kindness, and unfailing cheerfulness were an inspiration to all who knew her. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 19th, at St. James Cemetery at 1:00 pm. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled in Milwaukee for a later date.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Edith's Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

The Kenosha Catholic Woman's Club sends its sincere sympathy to the family of Edith Rieschl. She has been a longtime member of the CWC, but we lost track of her for the last two years. We have arranged to have a Mass said for Edith at St. James Catholic Church in Kenosha on Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at 5:15 P.M. Edith will also be honored at our Lenten Mass at the Kenosha Woman's Club on March 15, 2008, along with the other members who died since the previous CWC Lenten Mass. Our prayers are with Edith and her family.
