Battista P. "Bob" Venci, 88, of Kenosha, passed away Thursday, June 28th, 2007, at his residence. Born in Kenosha on December 9, 1918, he was the son of the late Antonio and Angeline (Principe) Venci. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools. On February 8, 1947, he married the love of his life, Angela Torregrossa. He had been employed by American Motors Corp., retiring after 33 years. Bob was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, the Italian American Society, UAW Local 72, and for over nine years, he volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America. He also loved fishing, bowling, bocce ball, and gardening and was a fan of baseball and football. Surviving are his wife, Angela; three sons, Robert (Kathleen) Venci of Burlington, WI, Ronald (Barbara) Venci of Green Bay, WI, and Raymond Venci of Davenport, IA; a daughter, Ramona (Mark) Young of Kenosha; three brothers, George (Darlene) Venci of Kenosha, Anthony (Gena) Venci, Jr. of Kenosha, and William Venci of Chester, VA; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Anthony, Elizabeth, George, Jr., Eileen, Matthew, Jacklyn and Angela. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Covelli; and a sister and brother, Mary and Frank both in infancy. Relatives and friends are asked to meet for a Mass of Christian burial at St. Anthony's Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 3rd, at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Monday at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
