Dale J. Antes, 74, of Kenosha, passed away Wednesday, June 6th, 2007, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born August 8, 1932, in Antigo, WI, he was the son of the late Alvah and Evelyn (Krumbach) Antes. He moved to Kenosha in 1942 and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1950. He entered the service on January 30, 1951, serving in Panama with the United States Army Corp of Engineers and was honorably discharged on January 29, 1954. On March 2, 1957, he married Nina L. Auge in Waukegan, IL. For seven years he was the owner and operator of Dale J. Antes Construction Co. and D & A Products (Cabinet Shop). He then worked at American Motors as a General Foreman for 20 years retiring on November 30, 1988. He was a member of the American Legion and a former member of the Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Nina; his seven children, Gina M. (Dennis) Mordja of Salem, WI, Dale A. Antes of Kenosha, Terry M. (Gary) Smith of Racine, WI, Wayne A. (Julienne) Antes of Minnesota, Rick A. (Robin) Antes of Florida, Debra J. (Sam) Lamport of Florida, and John C. Antes of Texas; twenty-five grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and his special friend, Sue Standford of Kenosha. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 9th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Friday at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
