Doris J. Gillette, 73, of Kenosha, passed away Saturday, June 2nd, 2007, at Grande Prairie Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center. Born on May 27, 1933, in Milwaukee, WI, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Kujawa) Klatkiewicz. She was educated in the schools of Milwaukee before coming to Kenosha in 1963 to make her home. On August 28, 1954, she married Russell Gillette in Milwaukee. She had been employed by American Motors Corp. for 25 years, retiring in 1995. She worked in the Paint Dept. #837, #828 and in #838. Doris liked to work the land around her home. She had a 100 ft. x 100 ft. garden full of flowers and vegetables of which she canned. She liked to visit Las Vegas, go to the casinos, and take in a show. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Russell; three sons, Darryl Gillette of Kenosha, Rodney (Mary) Gillette of Racine, and Keith (Michelle) Gillette of Rockford, IL; a brother, James Klatkiewicz of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Virginia Wencka and Grace Milo, both of Milwaukee.
