Irene Kraning, 86, of Kenosha, passed away Tuesday, May 8th, 2007, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Kenosha on January 2, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Camillo and Pia (Capponi) Migliano. On April 7, 1951, she married Ray H. Kraning at Mt. Carmel Church. He passed away March 7, 2006. Irene was a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and a former member of the Italian American Women's Society. She and her husband built picnic tables and windmills and she painted them. Irene enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and knitting. Each of her family members has one of her handmade afghans. Surviving are a son, Michael (Janet) Kraning of Kenosha; a daughter, JoAnn (Ruben) Medina of Kenosha; a sister, Elvera Perry of Kenosha; a brother, Arnold (Betty) Migliano of Kenosha; and her seven grandchildren, Ruben Medina, Jr., Jeff Medina, Michael Kraning, Rhiannon Kraning, Ryan Kraning, Janelle Kraning and Rayme Kraning. She was preceded in death by a son, Ray Kraning, Jr., in 2005; two brothers, Otto and Joe Migliano; and a sister, Elsie Morretti. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 11th, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at Green Ridge Cemetery.
