Mary Ruth Meier, 82, of Kenosha, passed away Saturday, April 28th, 2007, at Washington Manor Nursing Home. Born in Canelberg, IN, on August 18, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary E. (Wade) Norris. She was raised in Loogootee, IN, and moved to Kenosha in her early 20's, becoming a long time resident. On July 17, 1948, she married Victor Meier at Friedens Lutheran Church in Kenosha. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, was an avid golfer, a voracious reader, liked word puzzles and cross stitching. She also loved to take walks around her neighborhood and loved her grandkids immensely. She is survived by her loving husband, Victor; a son, Cary L. Meier of Kenosha; a daughter, Pamela (Frank) Zenzola of Pleasant Prairie; three grandsons, Joseph, Alexander, and John Zenzola; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, and two sisters. A celebration of Mary Ruth's life will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd, at Bethany Lutheran Church at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
