Armando Capponi, 72, of Kenosha, passed away Sunday, April 1st, 2007, at his residence. Born in Interpret, Italy, on May 27, 1934, he was the son of Serafino and Agnes Capponi. He was educated in the schools of Italy before coming to the United States in the early 1950's. He was the owner and founder of Armando's Collision Center for over 45 years. A member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and Italian American Men's Society, he loved cooking, gardening, feeding the animals, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his significant other, Mary Cruz of Kenosha; a son, Thomas (Jennifer) Capponi of Kenosha; a daughter, Mary Simon of Kenosha; his four grandchildren, Jessica, Tia, Vannessa, and Melissa; and a great-grandson, Andre. He is also survived by his grand dogs, Roscoe, June and Jake. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 5th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
