Donald Rutchik, 79, of Kenosha, passed away Monday, March 19th, 2007, at Hospitality Manor Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Kenosha on March 14, 1928, he was the son of the late Mike and Anna Rutchik. He was educated in local schools. From 1980 to 1990, he lived in Redwood City, CA, from 1990 to 1996 Fox Lake, WI, and returned to Kenosha in 1996. He was in the US Army from October 1950, to July 1952, serving in Japan and Korea during the Korean War. In 1959, he married Marion L. Conard in Kenosha. For 34 years he worked at American Motors retiring in 1989. Surviving are his wife, Marion; a daughter, Judy (Jon) Campolo of Twin Lakes; a son, Michael (Nancy) Steigman of Shawano, WI; six grandchildren, Buffy Nickel, Ozzie Mattner, Jack (Lenay) Mattner, Hope (Steven) Box, and Donnie & Heidi Steigman; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Ted Steigman; a grandson, Willie Mattner; five brothers, Walter, Tony, John, Fred, and Paul Rutchik; and a sister, Olga Modory. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22nd, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:30 am. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum with full military honors.
