Eleanor Ann Mattson, 77, of Kenosha, passed away Monday, February 27th, 2007, at the Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. Born in Kenosha on September 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ann (Voleska) Glass. She was a lifelong resident of Kenosha, educated in local schools, and graduated from Kenosha High School. On November 26, 1949, she married Edwin L. Mattson at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He passed away April 18, 1997. She was Administrative Assistant for the president of Kenosha Hospital for over 20 years, retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Eleanor enjoyed gardening and the out of doors, bowling, jig-saw and crossword puzzles, bird watching and loved her Green Bay Packers. Surviving are three sons, Lawrence (Noreen) Mattson of Michigan, Norm (Karen) Mattson of Kenosha, and Douglas Mattson of Kenosha; a daughter, Kathleen Mattson of Elmwood Park, IL; two sisters, Virginia Ermert of Missouri and Beatrice Cronce of Kenosha; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Bernard Glass, and a sister, Constance Sahagian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 2nd, at St. Therese Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Thursday at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Friday at St. Therese Church from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass.
