Larry A. Stein, 56, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, February 23rd, 2007, at Kenosha Medical Center. Born on January 18, 1951, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Erich and Louise (Hafke) Stein, Sr. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools. He entered the U.S. Army on June 26, 1968, and was honorably discharged on June 18, 1971, and received the National Defense Service Medal. Larry was formerly employed with American Motors and also was a welder by trade and worked various other jobs in the area. He was a member of the American Legion, enjoyed reading and was an avid golfer. Survivors include two sons, Timothy and Gregory Stein; a daughter, Rebecca Stein; three brothers, Erich (LeAnn) Stein Jr., Donald Stein, and Thomas (Melissa) Stein, all of Kenosha; three sisters, Judith Molinaro, Barbara Stein, and Lisa (James Gonzalez) Stein, all of Kenosha; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was a brother, Fred E. Stein. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 28th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Southern Wisconsin Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Proko Funeral Home from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
