Jane F. Travanty, 76, of Kenosha, passed away Saturday, February 3rd, 2006, at United Hospital Systems-Kenosha Campus. Born in Kenosha on July 29, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ursula (Earl) Bornhuetter. She was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and attended the local schools. On January 12, 1952, she married Robert L. Travanty in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1992. As a homemaker, she also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by her four children, Robert J. Travanty of California, William A. (Leigh) Travanty of Kenosha, Sally Ann (Clinton) Strouf of Kenosha, and MaryBeth "Betsy" Desotell of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Cindy Anderson, Joseph and Sara Desotell, and Mary Jane (Eric) Jones; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Taylor Jones all of Killeen, TX. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Duncan and Mary Ann Bell; and her son, Joseph on April 29, 1988. Services will be held Wednesday, February 7th, at Proko Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 pm. Internment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. "MA" Travanty was an awesome person. I've know her most of my life and remain friends with her daughter Mary. I spent many thanksgivings at her house while her husband and sons were up north hunting. those were some great memories that I will never forgot. nor will I forget her. Love to you all. Diane
