Virginia Elvera RUFFOLO
Virginia Elvera Ruffolo, 74, of Kenosha, passed away Monday, January 22nd, 2007, at St. Joseph Home for the Aged. Born in Marano, Marchesato, Cosenza, Italy, on December 28, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Achille and Guila (Fortuna) Covelli. In 1950, she moved from Italy to Kenosha, and has resided here since. On August 20, 1950, in Marano, Marchesato, Cosenza, Italy, she married Fiorino Ruffolo. He passed away June 23, 2006. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and St. Therese Christian Mothers. She was employed at Vincent McCall, Moriarty Manufacturing, Manutronics and St. Catherine's Hospital. She retired from St. Catherine's Hospital in 1991. Virginia enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are two children, John M. Ruffolo of Kenosha and Linda (Bryan) Hantke of Pleasant Prairie; a sister, Mrs. Ada Perri, of Kenosha; two brothers, Emilio Covelli and Luigi "Mario" (Elvera) Covelli, both of Kenosha; and a grandson, Peter Hantke of Pleasant Prairie. She was preceded in death by her brother, Francesco Covelli. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 26th, at Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 am. Mass to be celebrated at St. Therese Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
