Robert E. HILL
Robert E. Hill, 75, of Kenosha, passed away Tuesday, January 16th, 2007, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Iron River, MI, on March 24, 1931, he was the son of the late Erwin and Julia (Maki) Hill. He was educated in the schools of Michigan, coming to Kenosha in 1972. After his high school graduation, he entered the United States Navy on March 2, 1951, and trained at Great Lakes Navel Training Center. He served on the USS Leyte, USS Antietam and the USS Mindoro. He was honorably discharged on March 2, 1955. He had been employed by Illinois Bell for 35 years. Robert enjoyed Polka and Blue Grass music. He is survived by two sons, Warren (Kathy) Hill of Kenosha and Robert (Mary) Hill of Kenosha; two daughters, Chris Hill of Milwaukee and Kathy (William) Hyde of Kenosha; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Stapelton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20th, at Proko Funeral Home at 2:30 pm. Interment will take place at Iron River City Cemetery in Iron River, MI. Visitation will be held on Saturday at Proko Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
