Jacqueline R. Teschler, 82, of Kenosha, went to her Lord Friday, December 22nd, 2006, after a 2 ½ year courageous battle with cancer at Hospice Alliance Hospice House. The daughter of Louis H. and Agnes M. (Resop) Greenwald, she was born August 17, 1924, at Kenosha Memorial Hospital. She graduated from Kenosha High School in 1942 and entered Nurses training at St. Mary's School of Nursing in Milwaukee, graduating in 1946 as a Registered Nurse. She would later, in 1980, graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree from the college of St. Francis in Peoria, IL, in Health Arts. In 1946, she began her career as an R.N. in the Medical Department of Nash Motors with the exception of one year that she worked at the North Dade County Blood Bank in Miami, FL. She remained at American Motors until her retirement in 1982. She was Supervisor of Nurses from 1961 until that time. Jacky was a world traveler having seen most of it twice. She would spend her winters in Phoenix, AZ, in her later years and had seen everything this country had to offer. She was an avid reader and loved doing puzzles and knitting. But, her main love was her family. She would drop anything she was doing if someone needed something. You could talk to her about anything. Surviving her are sons, William (Laurie) Teschler of Madison, WI, and Craig (Penny) Teschler of Kenosha; also her five grandchildren, Deanna (Ron) Oetzel, Suzanne (Dan) Petts, Jason Teschler, William (Keri) Teschler and Nicholas (Rebecca) Teschler; four great-grandchildren; and also her sister and best friend, Nerissa Ott of Pleasant Prairie. Preceding her in death, besides her parents, was her sister, Lorraine (Lloyd) Scott. She was an active member of St. Peter's Church in Kenosha. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27th, from the Proko Funeral Home at 9:15 am. Mass to be celebrated at St. Peter's Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Entombment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The family wishes all remembrances to be made to the American Cancer Society.Proko Funeral Home and Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533www.prokofuneralhome.com

Jacky lived next door to us on 46th Avenue for many years. We were sorry to see that she passed away, we did not know she was ill. She always shared vegetables from her garden with us. We are thinking of your family at this difficult time.
