Jennie Katherine Hensgen, 87, of Kenosha, passed away Thursday, November 2nd, 2006, at her residence. Born June 3, 1919, in Pettis County, MO, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Bertha Ann (Simmons) Stone. She was educated in the schools of Missouri, coming to Kenosha in 1943 to make her home. On January 22, 1944, she married John Alfred Hensgen. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1994. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years at Kenosha Hospital. After retiring she was a volunteer for Hospice Alliance. Jennie was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and loved taking care of her rose bushes. Surviving are three sons, Leonard E. (Geraldine) Hensgen of Manitowoc, and John M. Hensgen and Paul R. Hensgen, both of Kenosha; a daughter, Rita M. (James) Eckert of Pleasant Prairie; a sister, Margaret Gardner of Sedalia, MO; a brother, John Stone of Sturgeon, MO; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David A. Hensgen, five brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
