Robert A. Erdmann, 83, of Kenosha, passed away Friday, October 27th, 2006, at St. Catherine's Medical Center. Born March 18, 1924, in Shawano, WI, he was a son of the late Robert E. Erdmann and Viola (Rusch) Erdmann. He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II, in the South Pacific, and was honorably discharged on January 11, 1946. He then reenlisted in the Army Air Corp. for two years. Robert worked for American Motors, retiring after 30 years. He was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and was an avid fisherman, hunter, and sportsman. He enjoyed going "up north". He especially enjoyed watching college football, the Green Bay Packers, and Wisconsin Badgers. Surviving is his wife of 23 years, Arleen (Meyer) Erdmann; three children, Debra (Dave) Vlahovic of Arizona, Kim (Dave) Pierce of Arizona, and Robert E. (Teresa) Erdmann Jr. of Racine; two step-sons, Lon B. (Eileen) Meyer of Michigan and Curt J. (Anita) Meyer of Kenosha; a step-daughter, Sharon R. (Ron) Warren of Salem, WI; four sisters, Ethel Schroeder of Illinois, Miralda Cheney of Kenosha, Ruth Kubena of California, and Mary (Eric) Swift of California; fifteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lore Weinbernner; two sisters, Naomi Bjorn and Ardis Hoyt; and a brother, Royal Erdmann, in infancy. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 2nd, at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Proko Funeral Home.
