Karl Hackbarth, 43, of Kenosha, passed away Friday, September 29th, 2006, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee, resulting from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Monday. Born in Grand Rapids, MI, on January 5, 1963, he was the son of Gerald and Sylvia (Alessi) Hackbarth. He was raised in New Berlin and has been a resident of Kenosha since 1991. On October 26, 1991, he married MaryBeth Cheney at Kemper Center. He had been previously employed by Daimler Chrysler as a security guard. Most recently, Karl was self employed, as an eBay seller. Karl enjoyed riding motorcycles, ATV's, and mini bikes, and working on small engines. Karl also enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, MaryBeth of Kenosha; his parents, Gerald and Sylvia Hackbarth of New Berlin; two brothers, David Hackbarth of Fond du Lac, and Michael (Nanette) Hackbarth of Merton; his parents-in-law, Dayton and Barbara Cheney of Kenosha; two sisters-in-law, Kelly (Bryan) Lange and Jodi (David) Eidsor, both of Kenosha; and four brothers-in-law, Michael (Linda) Cheney, Bill (Jackie) Cheney, Daniel Cheney and Jason Cheney, all of Kenosha. He is also survived by many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 3rd, at Proko Funeral Home at 7:00 pm. Interment on Wednesday will be private. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.
