Bernice A. Haubrich, 86, of Kenosha, passed away Saturday, August 12th, 2006, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. Born June 3, 1920, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Pleskunas) Druktines. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools, graduating from Kenosha High School. On September 7, 1940, she married Charles W. Haubrich in Dubuque, IA. He preceded her in death in 1982. Bernice was employed with Tri-Clover and Simmons Co. She also was co-owner of Somers Hardware and worked at Jensens Restaurant. She retired in 1982. She was active in PTA and 4-H. As a 4-H leader, she especially enjoyed teaching cooking to the boys. Her hobbies included bowling, archery, sewing, cooking, and baking. She was proud of her children, loved hearing about the activities of her grandchildren, and enjoyed being with her great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her loving family. Survivors include a son, Charles O. (Jill) Haubrich of Burlington; two daughters, Nancy (Don) Warnock and Marianne Watring, both of Kenosha; five grandchildren, Jenna, Angela, Elizabeth, Brianna, and Adam; and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Michael, and Anna. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 16th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Proko Funeral Home from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
