Mario A. MORRONE
Mario A. Morrone, 88, of Kenosha, passed away Monday, August 7th, 2006, at Kenosha Medical Center. Born in Chicago, IL, on February 15, 1918, he was the son of the late James and Angelina (Miceli) Morrone. He was educated in the schools of Chicago, coming to Kenosha in 1948 to make his home. On August 16, 1941, in Kenosha, he married Ann F. Lice. She preceded him in death on February 21, 2005. He was employed by the Chicago-Northwestern Railroad for 41 years as a Dining Car Steward, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society of Holy Rosary, the Italian American Society and the Train Collectors Association. Mario was very active with the Senior Citizen Council. Surviving are three sons, Robert (Mary) of Leesburg, FL, Mario J. (Lynne) of Bristol, and William (Kim) of Bay City, MI; a sister, Eleanor Vogel of Schiller Park, IL; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, James, as a young child; two brothers; and a sister. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 11th, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at St. George Cemetery.
