Nick F. Pulera Sr., 91, of Kenosha, passed away Sunday, August 6th, 2006, at Brookside Care Center. He was born on September 12, 1914, to the late Rosario and Rose Pulera in Chicago, IL. As a small child, he moved to Kenosha where he attended local schools. On September 9, 1950, he married Julia "Jay" Savaglio at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kenosha. Nick worked at Simmons Co. from 1940 to 1960. He worked for American Motors Corporation from 1960 to 1962. He was the owner and operator of the Villa Capri Hardware store from 1967 to 1969. He also worked as a custodian for the Kenosha Unified School from 1962 to 1977. He was a member of the Custodial Union of Kenosha Unified Local 168 and the Italian American Club. He is survived by his two daughters, Barbara (Mark) Kortbein of Kenosha, and Linda (William) Sentiere of Bloomington, IN; a son, Nick F. Pulera Jr. of Kenosha; two brothers, James (Jackie) Pulera of Kenosha, and Frank Pulera of Florida; five grandchildren, Nicholle, Matthew and Melissa Humphres, and Bryan and Jillian Sentiere; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; four brothers, Paul, Leonard, Sam and Anthony Pulera; and two sisters, Mary McKay and Theresa Pulera in infancy. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 12th, at St. George Cemetery at 1:00pm.
