Albert S. Nemeth, 86, of Kenosha, passed away Sunday, July 30th, 2006, at St. James Manor. Born in Mitchell, IA, on November 4, 1919, he was the son of the late Carl and Catherine Nemeth. He was educated in the schools of Iowa and came to Kenosha in 1940 to make his home. On January 2, 1942, he entered the United States Army serving as a Medic during World War II. He was honorable discharge on October 16, 1945, serving in New Guinea, Guam, Saipan and the Philippine Liberation. He received six Overseas Service Bars, one Lapel Button, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal and numerous other medals. In 1944, he married Isabelle Conforti in Kenosha. Isabelle passed away February 15, 1995. He was a farmer, which he loved, in Kenosha, and worked at MacWhyte Wire Rope Co. until his retirement in 1972. A member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Albert loved animals, especially his dogs Tina, Penny and Jack, and square-dancing. He is survived by two sons, Albert Namath of Kenosha, and Richard Nemeth of Kenosha; two daughters, Darlene (Ronald Elam) Nemeth of Kenosha, and Sharon (Mike) Karow of DeForrest, WI; three grandchildren, Kristen Namath, Troy Namath, and Jessica Karow; his former daughter-in-law, Donna Namath; a brother, Carl of Appleton, WI; and a sister, Anne of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by his wife; two brothers, Edward and Emil Nemeth; and five sisters, Ella, Eva, Danille, Mary and Katherine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 2nd, at St. Therese Catholic Church at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at St. Therese Catholic Church from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass.
