Paula- I know we haven't seen each other in many years, but I want to extend my sincere sympathy to you and your family. Dawn Rockweiler-Romanowski emailed me and told me what had happened. My brother-in-law, Erick Dodge, spoke about your husband all the time. Your husband worked with him on many occasions and Erick always spoke very highly of him and your family. I live in Kansas now, but wanted to make sure that I was able to tell you that you were in my thoughts and prayers.God Bless- Kari (Lippert) Strom

Paula,It has been many, many years. Although I did not know your husband, his tragedy has been a part of my daily thoughts. I live not far from the accident and saw the accident site when it happened. I have heard through friends what a wonderful man he was and I was encouraged to review this site. It wasn't until then that I saw you were his wife. I am so sorry for your loss and pray for you and your family. It sounds like you are truly surrounded by many new, good friends, but if you ever need an old one, please call on me. 262-818-2767.Our thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time.Sincerely,Joanne

My deepest sympathy. I met Mike back in the mid 80's when I worked at Roger's Service in Zion. My son, Chris did a lot of business with Mike at State Line Caps. I now work at Ernie's in Vernon Hills, IL, and recently talked to Mike on the phone. I stood next to him when Ernie Sr's tow truck funeral procession came through Ernie's in Nov, 1998, and Mike was filming it. He was always so friendly to all of us. Eileen Whitmire

I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was a GREAT guy. I met Mike for the first time when I worked for my dad at Millhouse Auto Body back in 1992. I cant remember a time when he didn't have a smile on his face or a funny comment to make. He was always there to help a friend no matter what time it was or where you were at. Mike made impressions on everyone he met, and I know those traits will carry on through his children. You are in my thoughts and Prayers. God Bless!Tracy (Hayes) Storm and Family

Dear Paula, Although I have never met either you or Mike I have heard nothing but praise from my grandson Bob. He idolized Mike and would love to be just like him and has deep feelings in his heart for you. I lost bob's grandpa 20 years ago, but he has never left my mind or my heart and I know one day we will meet again. He left me with strength to survive and you can always believe Mike will be with you at all times and guide you Thur this terrible time not only today, tomorrow, but forever. May God bless you and your family and thank you both for being so great to Bob as he loved and idolized both of you.
