Marie Johnson, 61, formerly of Affton, MO, currently of Kenosha, passed away Friday, July 28th, 2006, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. Born in St. Louis, MO, on October 8, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Fassett) Small. She was employed as a legal assistant for the State of Wisconsin in the Public Defender's Office. On November 17, 1972, she married Paul H. Johnson, they later divorced. A former member of the Art Association, she loved to paint. Marie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and being involved with their activities and associations. She also enjoyed spending time with her cat, Muffin. Surviving are a daughter, Hillary (Matthew) Schenk of Kenosha; a sister, Terrie (Rodney) Linford of Hendersonville, NC; a brother, William (Janis) Small of Columbia, IL; and three grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexander and Laura-Lynn Schenk. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Small. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 31st, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Interment to be private at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
